Together, we're shaping the future of travel. HERE'S WHAT WE'VE LEARNED
Every day is a blur of time and space, destined not to be repeated. It’s all changing. Everything. Every. Single. Day. Road map? Hell, we’re sending red sports cars to outer space, and soon tourists. There’s not a map for that.
So how are we going to keep up? Better yet, innovate through it? How do we make it better for everyone: travelers, locals, businesses, and the whole destination? Especially within a travel industry crowded by gnomes, kayaks and captains-of-all-things-obvious reducing every experience to a discount den with zero regard for individuality among destination or bed.
We started by inviting the travel sphere’s brightest and boldest to give their unrestrained take on the future of destination marketing. We asked hoteliers big and small; heads of DMOs; entrepreneurs in the travel space; and a few people we just wanted to have a cocktail (or two) with. People who are breaking the rules and challenging what’s normal.
We poked. We prodded. We held intimate gatherings in cities near and far, asking questions of the experts meant to spark fresh ideas and highlight renegade approaches. We even fed them.
They offered opinions. They showed what change looks like. We all got passionate. There may have been some mild cursing. Their insights led the conversation, and viewing the space through their eyes opened ours. Together, we’re shaping the future of travel. Here’s what we’ve learned.
